libgsl-dbg software package provides GNU Scientific Library (GSL) -- debug symbols package, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgsl-dbg
libgsl-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgsl-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgsl-dbg *
You will get with libgsl-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
